Product Description
The Kangaroo Chair (PJ-SI-59-A) is a piece of architectural history, originally born from the "law of necessity" in 1950s Chandigarh. Designed for a posture that is "relaxed yet attentive," the chair’s low-slung profile and angular geometry remain true to Pierre Jeanneret’s original blueprints.
In this iteration, the utilitarian design is elevated for residential comfort. The traditional cane seat is replaced by a core of high-density natural latex, chosen for its superior resilience and ability to hold shape against the angular frame. Enveloped in 100% handloom cotton, the upholstery introduces a layer of organic softness, creating a tactile contrast against the precise, architectural lines of the timber. It is a seamless blend of mid-century geometry and artisanal textile craft.
